Maureen Greenwood was born and educated in Dublin and came to London in the early sixties. "I have always loved painting but only took it up later in life due to personal circumstances. In 1988 I gave up work to paint and spent over eight years studying. Following that I set up art classes for adults and taught from home.

I enjoy painting in many different styles and work in oil, acrylic and mixed media. I love colour and working in mixed media using different textures to create exciting effects.

My travels in Europe inspire me with ideas for new paintings, particularly the amazing light you get in the Mediterranean countries.

I have been a professional artist for over 7 years and supply galleries in the UK. My work has been exhibited at a number of art fairs and exhibitions. "
